Brianna Aguasvivas, M.S.Ed., is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern (RMHCI) specializing in working with adolescents and adults experiencing OCD, anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, and co-occurring concerns. With several years of experience across behavioral health settings, Brianna understands how these challenges can impact relationships, school or work, confidence, and day-to-day functioning.
Brianna utilizes evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention(ERP), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy(DBT), to help clients better understand the patterns keeping them stuck and develop practical skills for responding differently to difficult thoughts, emotions, urges, and uncertainty.
In treating OCD and anxiety, Brianna helps clients gradually approach situations they have been avoiding while reducing compulsions, reassurance seeking, and other behaviors that provide short-term relief but reinforce anxiety over time.
Brianna also works with adolescents and adults experiencing depression, ADHD, low motivation, and difficulty with follow-through. Treatment may focus on identifying unhelpful behavioral patterns, strengthening emotional regulation and coping skills, and breaking larger goals into manageable opportunities for action and success.
As an RMHCI, Brianna brings over three years of direct experience working in the mental health field, with specialized experience supporting adolescents and adults with OCD, anxiety disorders, depression, and related concerns. While she is currently completing the requirements toward independent licensure, she works closely with LiveWell founder McKenna Davis, M.A., LMHC, NCC, regularly collaborating on cases, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions. This collaborative model allows clients to benefit from Brianna’s own clinical experience and therapeutic relationship while also receiving the added support of ongoing consultation and oversight from an additional clinician.
Brianna takes a collaborative, encouraging approach to therapy and wants clients to leave treatment with more than an understanding of their symptoms. Her goal is to help clients build the skills, confidence, and flexibility to navigate difficult experiences more effectively and participate more fully in the lives they want to lead.
Education & Training
Brianna earned her Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology and Human Development from Boston College’s Lynch School of Education and Human Development and earned her Master of Science in Education in Counseling from the University of Miami.
Her clinical background includes working within a nationally recognized behavioral health program providing both partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment. This experience has given Brianna a strong foundation in individualized treatment planning and evidence-based care across a range of symptom presentations and severity levels.
