How Therapy Works
Telehealth Therapy Across Florida
All individual therapy at The LiveWell Collective is offered through secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth. Clients must be physically located in Florida at the time of each session.
From the Panhandle to the Keys, telehealth offers access to care without drive time or a waiting room.
What it can look like
A useful telehealth setup includes a private room, reliable internet and a device positioned for comfortable conversation. Headphones may add privacy, and materials for an activity can be gathered beforehand. Younger children often do best when a parent is close enough to help with a transition or planned exercise.
- Joining from a private room with a reliable internet connection
- Using headphones when added privacy is helpful
- Keeping a parent nearby for a younger child's session
- Practicing skills in the environment where challenges happen
- Planning ahead for interruptions, devices and session materials
Understanding the pattern
Telehealth is still a face-to-face therapy appointment through secure video. Before beginning, we discuss privacy, technology and how family involvement will work.

How we help
For younger children, a parent may stay nearby and join selected parts of the session. For teens and adults, privacy and independence are planned according to age and clinical needs.
At the beginning, we discuss privacy, technology and who may be nearby. A therapist may ask a parent to join part of a child's appointment, then step away for age-appropriate independent work. If the connection drops or privacy changes, everyone knows how to pause and resume appropriately.

Putting skills into daily life
Home-based exposure can be an advantage because practice happens around real routines, objects and situations. The therapist can guide a step while the client learns in the place where the skill will be used.
Home can be especially useful for exposure work because the relevant objects and routines are already present. A client can practice at the actual doorway, sink, desk or meal setting while receiving guidance. Afterward, the same step can be repeated without recreating an artificial office exercise.
Before a child's appointment, parents can plan where they will wait and how the therapist will invite them back if needed. Teens and adults can silence notifications and tell household members when privacy is required. These small preparations protect attention. They also make it easier to use the session for active practice rather than solving preventable technology or interruption problems.
Telehealth also gives parents a practical view of how skills fit the home environment. With the child's agreement and the treatment plan in mind, a parent may join briefly to rehearse a response or arrange materials. The clinician can then observe the practice in context and suggest adjustments that are immediately usable.
